In order to acquire the property for Mavuno 3.0, we are looking to engage in a simple 3-step process. SECURE-OCCUPY-OWN
1. SECURE
Step One is SECURE. During this phase, our intention is to secure the property by paying a down-payment, somewhere in the range of Ksh. 50 million. This we anticipate having to pay by the end of January 2012, or as soon as the deal is signed. This phase is the equivalent of securing a good rental house – the first thing you have to do is pay a deposit, otherwise you may find the owner has let it to someone else.
2. OCCUPY
Step Two is Occupy! Once we have secured the land, we will begin the process of relocating there. By the end of April of this year we intend to raise an additional 120 million to cover for the transaction costs as well as to prepare the property for us to move in. This includes boundary fencing, toilet facilities, parking and the like. We would like to move to the new property either by the middle or the end of 2012.
NB: Our tenancy agreement at Belle Vue is informal, and ends in April of 2012. However we are looking to negotiate a good exit with the landlord that will allow us to prepare the property and move, hopefully towards the end of the year. However, the entire Mavuno community needs to be prepared in the event of any eventuality.
3. OWN
Step three is OWN. We are working to secure a mortgage arrangement with a local bank, and our prayer is that we’ll be able to raise the balance of 450 million by the end of 2014. So far we have been greatly encouraged by the number of financial institutions willing to partner with us in this venture.
NB: In order to partner with God is doing, you have the opportunity to give towards our move. A simple way to do it is via the online pledge form found HERE
You can also contribute via (a) Cheque – written to Nairobi Chapel – Mavuno (indicate “Count Me In” on reverse of cheque), or by (b) Depositing at the Mavuno Bank Account (details below)

Count me IN!!
Pastor M……..It’s no longer God’s business as usual. God is doing great new things through you and the Mavuno church (mavunites). GLORY BE TO GOD. COUNT ME IN. I tried to download the count me in Form but could not. Is it also possible to get the Mizizi book online? I’m far from mavuno church but I did Mizizi classes a few years ago and my life has never been the same. I want to change the city and the community where I am. How can I get the Mizizi book and the count me in form too?
God bless you.
